Terms of service
Last updated 14 September 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and PadiLearn when you use the PadiLearn app or padilearn.com. By creating an account you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use PadiLearn.
PadiLearn is in beta. During the beta every course is free, and nothing is bought or sold in the app. Things may change, break or be removed while we test. Before paid courses launch we’ll update these terms with the rules for buying, refunds and teacher payouts, and tell you first.
1. Your account
- You must be 18 or older, or use PadiLearn with the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian.
- Give accurate details, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
- You’re responsible for what happens under your account.
- You can delete your account at any time. See Delete your account.
2. Using PadiLearn
Don’t:
- break the law, or help anyone else break it;
- harass, threaten, or impersonate anyone;
- post spam, scams, or links to malware;
- copy, download, re-upload, or share courses outside PadiLearn unless the teacher allows it;
- try to get into accounts or systems that aren’t yours, or disrupt the service.
3. Content teachers upload
You keep ownership. Courses, videos, images and text you upload remain yours.
You give us permission to host it. By uploading, you give PadiLearn a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, copy, format, stream and display your content in the app and to promote PadiLearn (for example, showing a course’s title and thumbnail). This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups, which are overwritten over time.
You’re responsible for it. You confirm you own your content, or have permission to use everything in it, including music, images and other people’s work. Your content must be accurate about what the course teaches.
Not allowed on PadiLearn:
- content that infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark or other rights;
- sexual content, graphic violence, or hate speech;
- content that encourages illegal activity, self-harm, or harm to others;
- scams, “get rich quick” schemes, or misleading claims about results;
- other people’s personal information without their permission.
4. Comments and ratings
Keep comments on topic and respectful. Ratings should reflect your honest experience of the course. Teachers can pin comments on their own courses. We may remove comments or ratings that break these terms.
5. Reports and takedowns
- Report it in the app. Use Report on a course page or on a comment.
- Or email us at hello@padilearn.com. For copyright complaints, include what the content is, where it is in the app, what work you own, and how to contact you.
We review reports and may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Where it’s appropriate, we’ll tell the person affected why and let them respond. Repeated or serious violations lead to the account being closed.
6. Paid courses, refunds and payouts
Paid courses aren’t available yet. When they are, this section will explain prices, fees, refunds and how teachers are paid. We will update these terms and tell you before any purchase or payout happens. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under Nigerian consumer protection law.
7. The service
We work to keep PadiLearn running, but we can’t promise it will always be available or error-free, especially during the beta. We may change or stop features. We are not responsible for the accuracy of what teachers teach. Courses are the teachers’ own work and don’t come from PadiLearn.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, PadiLearn is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profits or opportunities, arising from your use of PadiLearn. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Ending your use
You can stop using PadiLearn and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, or if we have to for legal reasons.
10. Changes to these terms
We’ll update the date at the top when these terms change. For significant changes we’ll tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using PadiLearn after that, the new terms apply.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Contact us first if you have a problem. Most issues can be sorted out by email.
